Alright! So here we are, and the website is starting to take shape…
In this section Kati’s Posts, you are going to find all the things I create. Text posts, video posts, pictures etc. I hope you find the work inspiring because I am creating it all for you. Together we are going to work towards a Healthy Mind, Healthy Body!
The categories for my blogs are broken down as follows and can be found in the website menu above:
Kati’s Videos is just that… My videos! This is where I am going to share with you everything from definitions of various things you encounter with Eating Disorders, to dealing with Anorexia-Nervosa, Bulimia-Nervosa and Binge Eating, coping skills etc. You name it, I am making videos on it.
Kati’s Thoughts are a collection of my blog entries. Because let’s face it, not everything that I work on will be turned into a video… Sometimes you will get music playlists, sometimes you will get special notes and coping skills. Keep checking back because I plan on creating some special things for you here…
“Dear Kati” is a collection of questions and answers. As most of you know I am on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Youtube (as well as some other sites) I get so many great questions and I try and answer them all… With that said, I think that there is some great information for all of you in those letters. I will be posting them (with the other person’s approval, and with their name as anonymous) .
I hope you like this section and as usual feel free to comment on these…
Hugs

Hi Kati,
I'm glad you did a video on the topic of eating disorders/school because I see so many people online struggling with this. I hope people will take your advice and consider taking some time off from school in order to focus on getting better. I'm a hypocrite. I should have did that but instead chose school over recovery (my marks actually got better as my ED got worse/I wanted to finish undergrad so that I could finally try to go abroad post-grad). Yeah, I got the marks that I wanted, but at what cost? I've just made things even harder for myself. I guess if you were to discuss this topic in a future video, you could talk about how school can fuel EDs, especially if you're obsessed with marks and neglect taking care of yourself in favor of them.
Definitely!! That is sooo true!! It's almost like the perfectionist in us that fuels the ED also fuels our need to go to school and push through...Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I am glad that you are finding my videos helpful. Feel free to let me know if there is any other topic that you would like me to talk about <3 Thanks again!!
could you do a video on birth control and eating dissorders? i feel like it would be good because i think alot of us want to feel like someone loves us and would be tempted to just give in to the first person who tells us, however there is also a fear of birth control because of weight gain.
Of course!! It's on my list! Thanks for the great topic idea:) I think a lot of people struggle with that<3

Hello kati, I just found your videos and I was wondering if you could do one on coping with weight gain as well as how to reach out for help and how that process works, especially if your underage (under 18). I'm having a hard time with recovery pretty much on my own and I'm afraid to reach out for support from an actual specialist rather than just a counsellor because it's hard to find people who work on a sliding scale in my area or who would be willing to work with a 16 year old without involving parents (my parents hate therapy/therapists, they think it's a joke and pointless unless your seriously crazy). Could you do some sort of video to encompass this; I can't be the only one feeling like this. I'm sorry to be going on like this and taking up your time, your probably really busy and have videos to make for people who really need them but I would appreciate it if you could at some point. Thank you so much for what you do and again I'm really sorry to be taking up so much of your time.
Those are great video ideas!! I will definitely put them on my list:) oh and feel free to post and ask any questions you like! That's what my website is for:) you are not taking up too much of my time. I get excited ti get new questions as well as video ideas:) xoxo

I'd really like to see a video on 'a typical day for Kati Morton' ;) I reckon that would be interesting to see how busy you really are :)
I would have to figure out how to film that.. but that is definitely something I could do!! Maybe we could do a typical morning.. cause having someone film me while I drive could be scary.. haha!!! xoxo
Hello,
I just joined your site and I am really glad that I have. I have had an eating disorder for 6 years. I was given the diagnosis of EDNOS. I also have clinical depression and borderline personality disorder. I have been in treatment for my ED three times and have relapsed each time. I just started college a month ago and have been extremely stressed and have slipped into restricting, purging and abusing laxatives. I would like to know some common coping skills for dealing with the stress of being a full time student and having a part time job. Thanks
Hey honey!! I am so so glad that you found my site and joined! Yay!! I am so sorry that you have been struggling with this ED for so long :( The best coping skills for stress, obviously vary from person to person, but some to try are: journaling, taking time for yourself each week to reflect and journal etc, coloring, doing art, talking to a therapist, calling a friend, listening to relaxing music, knitting, painting your nails..etc. I hope that at least one of those is helpful and can lower your stress level a bit :) xoxo Welcome to the site!! xoxo
Hi Kati, I was recommended to your youtube channel earlier and you've really inspired me and helped me with a lot of tips and discussions in your videos. I just wanted to thank you. I've had an eating disorder for a long time now and I never really thought it was bad enough. I just thought it was normal and that I had a low self esteem, but I saw a doctor and I found out what was really going on. It gets really hard, but when I find helpful websites like this, it makes things just a little better. And that really makes a difference! I am a young musician and it is my dream to become famous one day, which makes the pressure to look perfect very hard, but I also watched a very inspiring documentary on young singer Demi Lovato earlier. It was called Stay Strong. She talks about her struggles with her eating disorder and self harming, and it really helped me to realize that we are all dealing with the same things in some way. :) Check it out sometime if you get a chance, just go to MTV.com and search for it haha. But when I see things about people getting closer to recovery, it makes me want to get help, and that is truly amazing. Thank you for all you do! I look forward to more videos from you!
I am so so glad that you found my website!! and my channel!! I would love to hear your singing sometime honey!! I am so proud of you for fighting so hard!! You deserve to recover and to be free from this!! I love Demi Lovato too!! I love that she is sharing her story to help others :) I will definitely check out her documentary :) Thanks for the heads up! xoxo
Hi Kati!
I am really hoping you will do a video regarding PoC and the unique struggle they face because of racism, discrimination, and unethical care they recieve from doctors and other mental health professionals. as well as how people of color are often not taken seriously by their health care providers and loved ones when it comes to mental health issues. And lastly, how cultural and societal expectations often invalidate the struggle of PoC as opposed to white people when it comes to eating disorders and other mental health conditions. I know a lot of your non-white followers would appreciate you validating and educating others about their unique struggles!

Hi Kati!
Would you do more videos on Binge Eating and maybe some ways to work on overcoming it? Anything and Everything that you think would help would be fantastic!
I also just wanted to say that you are amazing! I know myself and so many others are so encouraged by you and you really offer so much hope! Thank you for what you do! :-)
