How to talk through a past trauma when your memory is limited

  • #katiFAQ My question is two parts;
    1. How would you suggest talking through a past trauma with your therapist when your memory of the event is limited. In my case this is drug facilitated sexual assault, so while I have some memories, they are very hazy, sporadic snapshots of the night, which has made it harder for me to, as I put it, wrap it up in a neat little package and store it away so I can move on.
    The second part of my question is: Is it normal for victims of sexual abuse to be re victimized? Having had more than one experience it makes me wonder if maybe it’s me and something I did. Thank you for all that you do!
